Amazon review requests:
Automated and policy-compliant.
Sellercore sends Amazon review requests for every eligible order through Amazon's official request feature, within the permitted time window and no more than once. For each order you see whether and when a request was sent.
Most buyers do not leave a review on their own. Hardly anyone manages to request a review for every order by hand.
Every day, Sellercore sends Amazon’s official review request for all eligible orders.
More buyers are asked for an honest review, in line with the policies and without manual work.
- you have more orders than you can request by hand.
- you want more reviews the safe way.
- you do not want to risk discount or tester schemes.
More genuine reviews, without manual work.
Most buyers do not leave a review on their own. A request at the right time significantly increases the chance. Sellercore handles this for every eligible order.
Official Amazon feature
The request uses the same feature as the “Request a Review” button in Seller Central. Amazon sends a standardised message to the buyer.
Daily, within the permitted window
Every day, Sellercore checks which orders are eligible and sends the requests. Each order no more than once.
Status per order
Eligible, not yet requested, already requested or cancelled: you can see at any time what happened with each order.
How a request runs.
- 1Order is delivered
Sellercore imports your orders automatically from your Amazon account.
- 2Eligibility is checked
Is the order within the permitted window, not cancelled and not yet requested? Only then does it move on.
- 3Request via Amazon
Sellercore triggers the official review request. Amazon sends the buyer a message asking for a product review and seller feedback.
- 4Status in the history
The order is marked as requested, with the date. It will not be requested a second time.
What Amazon allows and what it does not.
Amazon takes firm action against manipulated reviews. If you breach the policies, you risk deleted reviews, blocked listings and, in the worst case, your seller account.
| Allowed | Not allowed | |
|---|---|---|
| Asking for a review | A neutral request for an honest review, for example via “Request a Review” | Asking specifically for positive reviews or 5 stars only |
| Something in return | None | Money, discounts, free products, refunds or gifts in exchange for a review |
| Products for testers | Only through Amazon Vine | Your own tester groups who receive goods in exchange for reviews |
| Unhappy customers | Solve the problem and take criticism seriously | Steering only happy customers to review and intercepting unhappy ones |
| Who reviews | Real buyers | Friends, family, employees or paid reviews |

When the automation pays off.
Without a request, only a few buyers leave a review. Sellercore requests a review for every eligible order, without you having to open each one in Seller Central.
With many orders, that takes hours per week and is easily forgotten. The automation runs daily, without gaps.
Sellercore uses only Amazon's official request feature. Amazon defines the content and wording of the message.
That works by chat too: Sellercore triggers the request for a specific order, provided it is eligible.
From the Seller plan.
Review automation is included from the Seller plan.

More Amazon reviews, within the policies
How to get more genuine reviews in a permitted way, and which methods put your account at risk.
Why reviews matter so much on Amazon
For many buyers, reviews are the most important factor after price and images. A product with many genuine reviews looks more trustworthy, gets clicked more often and is bought more often. Since Amazon favours products that sell well, reviews also indirectly affect your visibility through conversion.
The problem: most buyers do not leave a review on their own. If you do not ask, you get far fewer reviews than you have orders. More on this in Amazon Reviews: Getting More Reviews While Staying TOS-Compliant.
Can you automate Amazon review requests?
Yes. Amazon provides an official interface for exactly this purpose. It triggers the same request as the button and follows the same rules: once per order, only within the permitted time window, with Amazon's standard text. Sellercore uses only this interface and checks before every request whether the order is eligible.
Amazon writes the message text. Buyers who have opted out of seller messages do not receive an email.
Because Amazon controls both the content and the sending of the message, there is no room for incentives or wording that breach the policies. That is exactly what makes the official request the safest route to more reviews.
What is prohibited with Amazon reviews
Amazon prohibits anything that distorts reviews. This includes:
- Anything in return for a review, whether money, a discount, a free product, a refund or a gift. The only exception is the Amazon Vine programme.
- Asking for positive reviews, such as “If you are happy, we would love 5 stars”.
- Review gating, meaning sending only happy customers to leave a review and intercepting unhappy ones beforehand.
- Reviews from relatives or employees and paid reviews.
- Pressuring buyers to change or delete a review.
Bought or fake reviews are also problematic under competition law. What happens when an account is suspended for violations is described in Amazon Account Suspended: How to Build a Plan of Action.
Package inserts and QR codes: what is allowed?
A package insert with a neutral request for an honest review is generally permitted. It gets tricky as soon as an incentive comes into play, only positive reviews are requested, or happy and unhappy customers are guided down different paths. Inserts that direct buyers to your own pages to collect data or offer free goods are also risky.
Our recommendation: rely primarily on Amazon's official request. It reaches all eligible buyers, complies with the policies and costs you no work. Always check package inserts against the current version of Amazon's policies.
The first reviews for a new product
A new product without reviews is harder to sell. The only way Amazon allows you to give products to testers for free is Amazon Vine. Selected Vine product testers receive your product and write an honest review that is labelled as a Vine review. You have no influence on the stars or the content.
Vine is open to brand owners with Brand Registry, for products with few reviews. Participation costs a fee, and you can find the current terms in Seller Central. Explained in detail in Amazon Vine Explained.
Dealing with negative reviews
Negative reviews cannot be avoided, and they are valuable pointers. Recurring criticism shows you where the product, packaging or product description needs improving. If your listing already answers the most common questions before the purchase, the number of disappointed buyers goes down.
- Fix the cause instead of fighting the review
- Report reviews that breach the policies, such as offensive content or reviews of the wrong product
- Never apply pressure or offer anything in return for a change
How to turn reviews into better listings is shown by the Product Optimizer.
Product review or seller feedback?
The two are often confused. A product review refers to the product itself and is visible on the product page for all sellers. Seller feedback rates you as a merchant, meaning shipping, packaging and service, and feeds into your account metrics. Amazon's official request asks for both at the same time.
Key terms explained
- Request a Review
- A button in Seller Central that makes Amazon send the buyer a standardised request for a review and feedback.
- Eligible order
- An order within the permitted time window, not cancelled and not yet requested.
- Amazon Vine
- The only programme permitted by Amazon in which testers receive products for free in exchange for honest reviews.
- Review gating
- Directing only happy customers to leave a review. Prohibited on Amazon.
- Verified Purchase
- A label for reviews from buyers who bought the product on Amazon.
- Seller feedback
- A rating of the merchant for shipping and service, separate from the product review.
Questions about reviews
Can I try the review feature for free?
Yes. You can try Sellercore free for 14 days with all features, including review automation, no credit card needed. You see your first data within minutes, the full import takes up to 24 hours. The trial ends automatically, there is nothing to cancel. After that you choose your plan, and paid plans come with a 14-day money-back guarantee.
Is this compatible with Amazon's policies?
Yes. Sellercore uses only the official request feature that Amazon provides for this purpose. Amazon defines the text and the sending of the message, and there are no incentives or requests for positive reviews.
How much does review automation cost?
It is included from the Seller plan at €79 per month. All prices exclude VAT.
How does Sellercore help with collecting reviews?
Sellercore automatically requests a review for every eligible order through Amazon's official request feature, within the permitted time window and no more than once.
Which message does the buyer receive?

When is the request sent?
After delivery, within the time window Amazon provides for requests. Sellercore checks every day which orders are eligible.

Can I give away products in exchange for a review?
No. Offering anything in return for reviews is prohibited on Amazon. The only exception is the Amazon Vine programme.
Do more reviews improve my ranking?
More genuine reviews strengthen trust and conversion. Since Amazon favours products that sell well, this also affects visibility.
